Bergsjön is the lake closest to Granvik in the Ottersjön, Kvarnsjön and Bergsjön lake system. Bergsjön is separated from Kvarnsjön by a narrow strait. Around the lake there are a couple of wind shelters with barbecue areas, and a boat is available for hire. Boat permits can be purchased and keys collected at OK Q8 in Karlsborg (tel 0505-441 51). Please note that boat hire is payable in cash only. Information on fishing permits can be found on the Hökensås Sportfiske website: https://www.hokensas.se/tiveden

Bergsjön has fairly steep deep banks and a good stock of perch and pike. From 1 July 2026, small rainbow trout will be stocked in both Bergsjön and Kvarnsjön. This is all to revitalise these lakes with fish that are more eager to bite, thereby offering the chance of a successful fishing trip. The fish weigh around 4–6 hg and are perfect for cooking by the lake or taking home to cook or smoke. We would prefer that any fish caught are not thrown back, but are taken home to provide a wonderful culinary experience. Both the white and yellow fishing licences are valid in Bergsjön and Kvarnsjön. Once three salmonid fish have been landed, the fishing licence is exhausted and a new licence is required to continue fishing.

The lake is situated in Karlsborg Municipality in Västergötland and forms part of the Motala Ström’s main catchment area. It is 18.9 metres at its deepest point, has a surface area of 0.238 square kilometres and lies 139.3 metres above sea level.
