Djäknesjön can be reached from road 49, 3 km north of Granvik and about 10 km north of Karlsborg. By the lake there are a couple of shelters with barbecue areas. The Bergslagsleden trail runs along the north side of the lake and there is a toilet adjacent to the parking lot. From the shelter on the hill on the eastern side of the lake you have a fantastic view of the lake. In addition to perch and pike, rainbow trout are planted in the lake. The yellow fishing license is required to fish in Djäknesjön. There is a boat for rent. Boat license is purchased and the key is picked up at OK Q8 in Karlsborg (tel 0505-441 51). The lake is located in Karlsborg municipality in Västergötland and is part of Motala Ström's main catchment area. It is 13 meters deep, has an area of 0.105 square kilometers and is 143.4 meters above sea level. The lake is drained by the Djäknabäcken watercourse.
