Lilla Kungsleden is missing some signs, the trail should be relabeled. Bring a map of the trail or download the GPX track and follow it.
Lilla Kungsleden starts in the village of Sannerud. After a stretch on asphalt along Lake Unden, the trail goes on gravel road to Tiveden National Park. There you pass Stigmanspasset, Junker Jägares sten, which is Tiveden's largest boulder, and the beautiful sandy beach Vitsand. On the way back, the trail follows a forest road to the old village street at Kungsbacken.
**Sannerud
The Tiveds village of Sannerud is beautifully situated by Unden, where you can find a general store, food and good coffee. The church, which is located in the middle of the village, was built by the locals in 1847. It took only seven weeks to build the church. Before the church was built, the people of Tiveds went all the way down to Undenäs to attend church.
**Kingsbacken, Undevi & Ösjö
The trail takes a detour from the highway up to Kungsbacken, here you have a very beautiful view of Unden. After passing the village street in Kungsbacken, the trail goes out on the highway for a short distance to turn off at Undevi onto a gravel road again. On winding gravel roads you then pass the farms in Vägen, Ösjöängen and Ösjö. Ösjö is one of Tived's oldest villages.
**Ösjönäs
At Ösjönäs there is accommodation and activities, including bicycle, canoe and kayak rental, horseback riding and much more.
After Ösjönäs, the trail follows the beautiful Kojvägen road to the main entrance of the national park. Just after Ösjönäs there is a giant cauldron in the forest a short distance from the road. Follow signs from Kojvägen to find the pot.
**The main entrance
Take the opportunity to stop and read about the national park or walk a bit on one of the hiking trails. There are toilets and water to refill.
Stigmanspass
After the main entrance, the trail continues on the road north through the national park. You will pass Stigmanspasset, a very prominent rift valley.
White sand
Vitsand, the long sandy beach at Stora Trehörningen. The ice rivers left fine-grained sand here when the ice sheet melted. Take the opportunity to stop for a swim or hike one of the hiking trails, see the Vitsand caves or just enjoy the beautiful view of the lake for a while.
**Poravattnet
After Vitsand you cycle back along the road and after a bit the trail goes left onto a smaller gravel road. After a while you pass the beautiful lake Porsavattnet. After Porsavattnet you take gravel and forest roads to Kungsbacken and from there the trail goes on the same road back to Sannerud.
