The story goes that the monks from the monastery at Ramundeboda spent the night in Gråmon on their way to Olshammar. Along this stage you pass one of the finest potholes in Tiveden, and the Getaryggen boulder ridge. The trail passes villages where small meadows and barns bear witness to farming and agriculture in times gone by, including the old village of Tivedstorp, which is now a hostel. From here you cross the Porsängsmossen marshland, following a series of historic paths. At Lake Bosjön, the Munkastigen pilgrim’s trail turns eastwards and continues down to Olshammar. At the south-eastern inlet of Lake Bosjön you will find our resting place, with a wind shelter, fireplace and toilet. STF has declared Stages 15-17 to be a signature trail with its abundance of natural features typical of the region, along with spectacular countryside and wildlife experiences.
