Hiking

Tiveden offers a strong wilderness feeling and interesting nature experiences.

Here in Sweden's wildest forests you can walk between giant blocks and deep crackling valleys. Ten meter high cliffs have been transported during the time of the inlands glaciers and have created exciting caves and challenging footpaths. In deep gorges you can discover several fine wilderness lakes with different flora, that are can be originated from both North and South Sweden. The Tiveden national park offers about ten distinctly marked trails, with a walking duration from one to six hours walk. Some customized paths at the main entrance and at the beach of Vitsand are available for those with limited mobility. Several nature reserves offers walking or hiking trails, for example lake Fagertärn, famous for its red water lilies.
